Amy McNail (Samuell) is my wonderful Cousin and Jim is her wonderful Husband. I am asking for any help that you may be able to spare, They need our help!

After losing a kidney and damaging the other in a car accident in 2011, Jim has had a roller coaster of a health journey. Progressive insurance rejected covering the accident because they only had liability and it was a no-fault accident – they didn’t know to fight for a medical payout at the time. Jim has only managed not to hit his annual medical max out of pocket a couple times since the accident.

Eventually, Jim was diagnosed with end-stage renal failure and began dialysis in November 2023. He has had 3 very lengthy leaves of absence from work just since beginning his treatments. Just this summer, he has spent 24 days in the hospital and just had another stay last week.

Amy has been working full time and dialyzing Jim at home in the evenings 3x a week, while they try to keep life ‘normal’ for their recently teenaged son (13 years old). She’s also been nursing some of her own health issues and found herself being referred to the ER last month with abdominal pain, where she endured multiple scans and tests. Thankfully, no long-term illness was discovered, just another financial bump in the road.

Amy and Jim are wonderful people and would do anything for others any chance they have, however, Right now they need to be on the receiving end. They are not ones to ask for help but I know they would be very grateful for whatever they could get. All proceeds will go directly to their bank account. Thank you in advance.
