Help Amy and Alistair After A Mistaken FBI Raid

Donation protected
My dear friends of 25 years were raided by the FBI today in a terrible case of mistaken identity - wreck first, ask questions later. The FBI thinks that Alistair - who has used the noms de net "SiliconCerebrate" and "Cerebrate" since the advent of StarCraft - is the developer behind the Redeemer ransomware scam. This couldn't be further from the truth.

These people have been FAMILY to me for 25 years. They've stayed at my house numerous times. I've stayed at theirs. My sons refer to them as Aunt and Uncle. They are two of the smartest and KINDEST people I've ever known, and they did not deserve to have SWAT show up with a TANK and flashbangs, busting down their unlocked front door. They did not deserve to have all of their electronics - by which they earn their living - confiscated. Even their phones and Kindles were confiscated.

They have a rough road ahead. I'm beyond livid and I'm utterly terrified for them.

They are safe at the moment. But they are afraid of what they will find when they return to their home tomorrow. They know they have a broken window and a broken door. Who knows what wreckage SWAT left behind? While they've been told that "no arrests are being considered at this time" and that they will get their belongings back, we ALL know what happens when law enforcement wrecks a citizen's house. (They don't get reimbursed and they don't get their property back.) Alistair has lost 30 years of his work to this badly botched raid.

We're all dealing with rough times. The Youngs are going to need more than computers and phones so they can resume their work. They're likely going to need legal assistance, and that ain't cheap.

The injustice they've suffered is bad enough, the financial implications stand to be devastating. If you can assist in any way at all, I know it would be received with gratitude.
