Amuchin Feoley Togba (26) has recently been accepted into the Computer Engineering Technician program at Mohawk College. This is great news! He was studying electronic engineering in his home country of Liberia, and dreams of getting a computer engineering job that would allow him to contribute to Liberian society and train other young people in Liberia.
Things have been difficult in Liberia, with a weak economy and instability from political protests. Amuchin has been trying to get a good education there, but it has been difficult.
That's why it's so exciting for him to be accepted into Mohawk College, a strong school with many international students in Hamilton, Ontario. As a bonus, Hamilton is also where his mom, Feona, currently lives. She is excited to be reunited with her son and help him as he goes through his schooling.
But studying as an international student isn't cheap, and Amuchin needs to pay the remaining balance on his first semester of the Computer Engineering Program by ($6400) by June 14. Thanks to you, we were able to pay his $1600 deposit in March.
THANK YOU for helpung Amuchin pursue his studies in Hamilton! Time is running out quickly on the June 14 deadline.
