Help Stephanie as she Recovers from COVID

Hello, everyone. My name is Debbie Marin and I am reaching out to family, friends, friends of friends, and kind-hearted strangers on behalf of my stepmother, Stephanie Marin. She was married to my father for 27 years. When he died in 2011, she struggled with permanent disabilities and a limited income. Her faith in Christ is very strong and, despite all her difficulties, she managed to survive.
Stephanie has had more than her share of medical issues, particularly in the last 9 months. She spent last Christmas in the hospital with a fracture to both the tibia and fibula that required surgery. Then, after healing from the leg injury, Stephanie was found unconscious on the floor of her kitchen on June 7th with injuries to her face and upper torso. She underwent brain surgery to remove a large blood clot on her brain. After 4 weeks in the hospital and a skilled nursing facility, Stephanie went home to continue her convalescence at home. Then, on June 30th, after just a week and a half at home, she was hospitalized with COVID-19.
She was admitted to the hospital in the morning and by nightfall she was on a ventilator. She suffered a myriad of complications brought on by COVID. After 11 days on a ventilator and another 19 days of continued hospital care, Stephanie beat COVID-19. She is now in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility recuperating from the after effects of the virus.
Since waking up after COVID, she has been unable to eat and had to have a feeding tube inserted in her stomach. Hopefully she won't have it for long. She left the hospital too weak to stand and even lifting her arms required all her effort. She has a long road of rehabilitation ahead of her.
The health trauma she's had in the last 9 months has taken a financial toll as well a physical toll on her. Already struggling to make ends meet, she will be responsible for medical bills that she just can't afford.
Stephanie is one of the blessed ones to have beat COVID-19. She's a fighter with a strong will to live. When she’s well enough to leave the nursing facility I want her to be able to come home to continue her path to good health with as little stress as possible. She could use your help to make that happen. he
My goal for Stephanie is to raise funds to help pay medical bills and for day to day living expenses as she recovers.
Please give whatever amount you are able. No amount is too small. All it takes is community to reach the goal. Your compassion and generosity are greatly appreciated.
To help get the word out, you can share the link to your Facebook Timeline.
Thank you so much!
