Family and Friends,

Many of you have reached out asking how you can support Amoya as she prepares to graduate — and truthfully, we are still in awe ourselves. Graduating one year early was not part of the original plan, but her dedication, discipline, and determination made it possible.

As if that wasn’t enough, Amoya recently applied and interviewed for several competitive summer programs — and was accepted into three incredible internships at UCLA, the University of Miami, and UCF. This opportunity came as a surprise blessing, but with it comes unexpected expenses.

These internships are more than résumé builders. They will:

• Expose her to real-world medical and research environments

• Connect her with physicians, mentors, and university faculty

• Strengthen her preparation for medical school

• Help her refine her long-term goal of joining the medical field

• Build the confidence and network she will need in such a competitive field

Programs like these open doors that grades alone cannot. They allow her to sit in rooms she has dreamed about, learn from leaders in medicine, and gain hands-on experience that will shape her future career.

Because she is graduating early, we did not have as much time to financially prepare for room and board, travel, and related expenses associated with these opportunities. The funds raised will go directly toward:

• Housing and meal costs

• Airfare and transportation

• Program-related fees and materials

• Living expenses during the internships

Our goal is to raise the necessary funds by May 1st to secure housing and travel arrangements in time.
