Help Ammon to stand up again.

I have been so grateful to everyone that has been supporting this cause. It has made the process possible. However, I need to share with you something that has become a roadblock.

On April 17th my computer froze, with windows everywhere telling me that a virus was trying to get into the system but was being kept at bay. "Don't turn off the computer or the virus will compromise all of your sensitive data". A phone number for Apple technical support was listed so I called it. That was the mistake I've never made before. I was fed a very elaborate story involving hackers being in my local network by someone that said they worked for Apple tech support and then I was forwarded to Bank of America. All of it was a falsehood.

The short version of this story is that over half of the money that I had raised on this platform was lost that day by professional scammers that completely fooled me as I was in a state of panic, being told that the money would be lost if I didn't act quickly. I reported everything to BOA, the FBI, the FTC and the Somerville police, but I've been told that given the nature of the transactions that I probably would not be able to get any of it back.

As someone that has been living with a type epilepsy that causes me to forget anything that has happened during those seizures, I've needed to become very trusting of what people are telling as being true or false. This experience has made it very clear that I need to be more cautious about what I am being told and to continuously look for the truth.

So, I am transitioning the nature of the this fundraiser to help get my feet on the ground again. I have to postpone any further medical scanning and procedures by at least 3 to 6 months just to see if I would be financially stable enough to move forward with the operation.

All that being said, thank you everyone. I would not have made it this far without your help and would be very humbled if you were to help me stand on my own two feet again.
