Help Amit Cover Medical Costs for injuries from an assault.

Dear friends, family, and kind supporters, my name is Jenny, and I'm reaching out for help. Just two days ago, on December 31, 2025, my husband Amit was the victim of a sudden and violent assault that resulted in a broken ankle. Amit is a kind, optimistic, and passionate man that came to Canada full of hope, building a life together while patiently awaiting his Permanent Residency. He always brings warmth and positivity—whether through his gentle smile, thoughtful gestures, volunteering in his science lab to contribute to research and discovery, or this holiday season dressing up as the "Grinch" for the Osoyoos Festival Society, attending and helping out at many Christmas events to spread cheer and fun in our community. The broken ankle is causing significant pain and limited mobility right now. Doctors are still assessing whether surgery (to realign and stabilize the bone) will be needed, or if it can heal with a cast/boot, crutches, and physical therapy. Either way, he needs proper treatment to recover fully and get back on his feet. Since his Permanent Residency is still processing, we have no medical coverage at this time. The emergency room visit, X-rays, initial treatment, medications, follow-up appointments, and any potential surgery or rehabilitation costs are adding up quickly. These unexpected expenses are a heavy burden during his recovery, and I'm doing everything I can to support him—but we need community help to manage this without overwhelming debt. We're asking for your support to help cover these immediate and potential medical needs so Amit can focus on healing. All donations will go directly toward: Emergency room visit, X-rays, and initial treatment/casting
Cast/boot, crutches, medications for pain and swelling
Doctor appointments, follow-up care, and possible surgery if required
Physical therapy sessions to regain strength and mobility

Any donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference. If you can't contribute financially right now, sharing this page could help it reach others who might—it truly means a lot, especially in our local Osoyoos community. I'll post regular updates here on Amit's progress and treatment plan (he's already showing real determination), any milestones, and our thanks to every supporter. Your kindness and generosity are giving us hope right now. Thank you sincerely for your support.

With gratitude,
Jenny
(On behalf of Amit and our family)
