Help Amir's family secure essential needs and evacuate

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

My name is Sara and I'm based in New York, USA. This is a call to donate to the family of Amir, a bright five year old child living in a dire condition with his parents in the Gaza Strip, specifically in Rafah. I've got in contact with Amir's family through a friend on the ground, Tariq Rouq, who's also raising funds for himself to rebuild his life with his family and is doing amazing work on the ground, such as helping out Amir's family. Please also support his gofundme page here as well. His instagram is @altariq__gaza

Amir is a child with special needs, he suffers from a rare genetic syndrome and was born without fully devloped limbs. He is living in constant fear, like every child in Gaza. His mother described that he frequently falls ill with fevers and has ongoing medical and hospital visits. They are currently in desperate need of essential items such as mattresses and a suitable tent to create a somewhat livable environment. Our immediate goal is to secure essential supplies for him and his family. If and when the Rafah border reopens, we ultimately aim to facilitate their evacuation from the Gaza Strip, enabling Amir to receive the specialized treatments he needs.

We count on your generosity to make this possible. We need to raise funds to help Amir and his family ease the hardships of life during and after this horrific aggression. He deserves to continue his life, just like any other children in the world. The funds raised in this campaign will be sent directly to a close relative of Amir's parents who's been assisting them during these times, as they do not have an operating bank account that accepts wire transfers.

Here is a compiled list of what Amir and his parents need:

1. **Personal Expenses**: the parents are currently without jobs and are struggling to meet daily personal expenses.

2.**Amir's medical Cost**: Amir constantly falls ill with fever and needs multiple hospital visits.

3.**Tents and Bedding**: The family is living under an exposed tent with no rug to cover the sand and minimize bug infestation. They are in desperate need of a better tent, rugs, and bedding. A tent alone costs ~$300.

4. **Evacuation and transit costs**: Facilitating evacuation of the family across the Rafah border (Inshallah when it reopens). The last reported crossing fee before the border closed was ~$7,000 per person, and that is expected to greatly increase. We are aiming to raise ~$9,000 per person for the crossing fee. In the case that the border does not reopen, all raised funds will go towards their living necessities and rebuilding their home.

5. **Rebuilding their life and starting over**: Additional support for basic expenses to help the family restart their lives, as they have lost everything they had, just like every family in Gaza.

Your donations, no matter how small, will make a big impact under the current unsustainable circumstances. I assure all donors that 100% of the funds raised will go directly to Amir's family. Please share this campaign with your friends, family and colleagues. We appreciate and are grateful for your support.
