Meet Amira!
Hi everyone! We’re reaching out to share a bit about our daughter, Amira, and a big goal we have for her upcoming school year.
Amira is a vibrant, busy, and incredibly creative seven-year-old. If there’s a craft project nearby, she’s on it! She absolutely loves drawing, painting, and getting her hands messy with science projects and cooking. When she isn't creating a masterpiece or experimenting in the kitchen, you can find her in the pool swimming, practicing her moves at Jiu-Jitsu, or playing outside with her friends. She is a social butterfly who loves being around her school friends and neighborhood buddies alike.
The Journey to Third Academy
Amira is both Autistic and has ADHD. Because her "AuDHD" brain processes the world a little differently, a standard, crowded classroom can be a very overwhelming place for her.
To help her truly shine, we are working to enroll her in Third Academy. This school is specifically designed for children with Autism and ADHD, providing the specialized care, smaller class sizes, and sensory-friendly spaces that Amira needs to succeed. It’s a place where her creativity and energy are seen as strengths, not distractions.
The Goal: $12,000
Third Academy is exactly where Amira needs to be for Grade 2, but the specialized tuition and support costs are a significant hurdle. We are looking to raise $12,000 to cover her costs for the upcoming school year.
This funding will go directly toward:
Grade 2 Tuition: Securing her spot in a school built for her unique mind.
Specialized Instruction: Teachers who are experts in neuro-affirming education.
Individualized Support: Ensuring she has the tools to stay focused and engaged while she learns.
Why This Matters
We want Amira to walk into school every day feeling capable and excited. Getting her the right support now, during these early formative years, is a total game-changer. We want her to have the tools to succeed in the classroom just as much as she does on the Jiu-Jitsu mat or in the pool.
How You Can Join Her "Village"
If you’re able to donate, any amount—big or small—makes a real difference in getting Amira into the right classroom. If you can’t contribute financially, simply sharing this link with your community would mean the world to us.
Thank you for being part of Amira’s journey and helping us give her the best start possible for Grade 2!
Sincerely
Michelle, Marco and Amira
