Amira is a dedicated mother, daughter, and friend who has spent the last decade working at her local hospital in Fountain Valley. As a Mexican immigrant, she has overcome countless challenges to build a life for herself and her family in the U.S. Recently, Amira achieved a major milestone by graduating from Santa Ana College with her nursing degree and passing the NCLEX on her first try. Despite her qualifications and years of service, she’s been told she cannot move into an RN position at her hospital until she enrolls in a Bachelor’s program.
Amira is the sole provider for her three school-age children and also supports her aging parents. The financial strain of tuition, combined with everyday living expenses, has made it nearly impossible for her to take the next step in her career. She is working hard to enroll in the Bachelor’s program at Cal State Dominguez Hills by August 27, but the cost is more than she can manage alone.
Amira is known for her ambition, resilience, and the way she uplifts everyone around her. She is one of the most capable people we know—always finding solutions to problems, no matter how tough. She’s the first to help friends, family, and her community, inspiring others to be their best selves. Now, we have the chance to support her as she pursues her dream of becoming an RN. Every contribution will help cover her tuition and give her the opportunity she’s worked so hard for. Let’s come together to help Amira turn today’s challenges into tomorrow’s memories.
