Amir Bassam Azam, a talented pastry chef, has endured over a year of heartbreaking separation from his wife, Saja Walid Fouad Arqiq, and their two young children, Maya (5) and Walid (3), due to the war in Gaza. After months of living in a refugee camp in the south, Amir recently made the dangerous journey back to Northern Gaza to reunite with his family—only to find himself in the heart of devastation.
Shortly after his return, the war erupted once again. Northern Gaza is now one of the most heavily bombed and blockaded areas, with soaring food prices, critical shortages, and almost no access to basic necessities. Amir is doing everything he can to protect his children and provide for them, but the situation is worsening by the day. They are homeless, under threat, and going hungry.
We are raising emergency funds to:
Secure a temporary caravan home ($7,000)
Provide food, water, and medical supplies
Cover essential living expenses
Begin the process of rebuilding their destroyed home
Any additional donations will go directly toward ensuring long-term stability and safety for Amir’s family.
Despite his own suffering, Amir previously worked to provide clean water and supplies to other displaced families. Now, he and his loved ones are the ones in desperate need.
Your support can help them survive this nightmare and begin to rebuild their lives. Every dollar counts.
Thank you for your compassion and solidarity.
