My name is Rayan, and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my nephew, Amir, a sweet and playful four-year-old boy living in Lebanon with his parents and his two-year-old little brother.
A few weeks ago, Amir began suffering from severe and persistent migraines. What first seemed like headaches quickly became terrifying. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors delivered devastating news: Amir has a tumor in his brain.
His parents sought answers everywhere they could. Amir was taken to three different hospitals for multiple medical opinions, hoping there might be another option. Each specialist confirmed the same urgent reality — the tumor must be surgically removed as soon as possible.
Amir’s mother is a full-time nurse, but she has been unable to return to work since her son became ill. Her entire focus has been caring for Amir, traveling with him to hospitals, and staying by his side during this unimaginable time. His father is doing everything he can to support the family, but the emotional and financial strain has been overwhelming.
The surgery will be performed in Beirut, requiring frequent travel from their home in the south. The total cost of the surgery is $24,000. While they are grateful to have insurance, it will still leave them with an out-of-pocket balance of $8,000, in addition to travel expenses and lost income during Amir’s recovery.
I am Amir’s aunt (his mother’s sister-in-law), and I live in the United States. I am organizing this fundraiser to help lift some of this burden off their shoulders so they can focus on what truly matters — saving Amir’s life and caring for their children.
The funds raised will go toward:
• The remaining $8,000 medical balance for Amir’s brain surgery
• Travel expenses to and from Beirut
• Supporting Amir’s mother while she is unable to work during his treatment and recovery
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser means just as much.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, prayers, and support. Please keep Amir and his family in your thoughts
