Help Amir fight cancer
Amir Dadgarian is 33 years old. He is a good guy going through a tough time and needs our help. Amir was recently diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma. The cancer that started near his stomach has now spread to his liver, gall bladder, and brain. At this time, treatment will be 1 round of chemo followed by 10 radiation session that will end next Friday. From there they will re-scan his brain to make sure they get what is there before moving back to strictly chemo to attack whats on his liver and gallbladder.
Amir will be out of work with no income while he is fighting this cancer. He began a career with the sheet metal workers union local 38 out of Brewster 5 months ago and does not qualify for medical insurance at this time. As you can imagine, medical bills are mounting quickly with just weekly prescriptions over $200. Doctors have found a specific gene in his cancer that they know responds well with an antibody that they're adding to his chemo called herceptin. The drug is expensive and has made his treatments, while way more effective, a lot more expensive.
Amir is in good spirits and is ready to fight this but he needs all the help he can get. If you are able, please consider donating to help alleviate some of the worries associated with the expense of his treatment.
