Help Amika "Tree" Tendaji Recover from Injury
Donation protected
Amika "Tree" Tendaji is a mother, a beloved auntie, and a longtime organizer in the struggle for Black Liberation. She is the Executive Director of Black Lives Matter Chicago and a co-founder of Ujimaa Medics.
On the weekend of October 22, Tree was hit by a car and her leg was broken in three different places (see picture). She had to spend several days in the hospital and will now require surgery. The hospital and her insurance provider are requiring that she pay for her wheelchair, shower chair, and other needs out of pocket.
Tree has been a key leader in our movements and a provider for her extended family. Now she needs our help! Please chip in to help her pay for meds, food, medical equipment, legal fees, and rehabilitation as she begins her recovery.
