As a mother, it is incredibly difficult to ask for help—especially so urgently—but our family is facing a situation we cannot handle alone. A truly doing this is the ONLY thing I can do to help at the moment.
Lauren's beloved horse, Amigo, is currently hospitalized after suffering a sudden and severe bowel impaction and colic. His condition is serious, and he may require emergency surgery at any moment. The veterinary bills are rising quickly, and decisions that could determine his survival must be made under immense financial pressure. Ethan and Lauren are doing absolutely everything possible to give him the chance he deserves. Lauren has had Amigo since 2017, and he is far more than a horse to her. He is her barrel racing partner, her constant companion, and truly her best friend. Amigo is like her child—her safe place, her joy, and her heart. Anyone who knows Lauren knows how deeply she loves him and how much of her life she has devoted to his care and wellbeing.
Ethan and Lauren also run a ranch where they care for not only their own animals, but for the animals of others who trust them every day. They pour their hearts into caring for horses and livestock, often putting others first and never hesitating to help when someone else is in need. Now, they are the ones who need help.
To make this crisis even more overwhelming, my son Ethan recently underwent shoulder surgery and has been out of work for the past three months, with several more months of recovery still ahead. Their income has already been severely impacted, and these sudden, life-saving veterinary expenses have become more than they can manage on their own.
As a family, we do not ask for help lightly—but time is critical, and we are humbly asking for support so Amigo can continue receiving the care he urgently needs. Any donation, no matter the amount, can make an immediate difference. If you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser could help reach someone who can. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with my family during this frightening and uncertain time. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean more than words can express and may truly help save Amigo’s life.
With heartfelt gratitude,
A grateful mom
