Help Amie Beat Cancer!

Hi everyone, my name is Iremar Gutierrez, and I have created this GoFundMe account for my wife, Amelou Gutierrez. In June of this year, Amelou was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. As soon as my wife, our children and I heard the news, we did not hesitate to take our first step into treatment. She started receiving a small treatment at Guam Regional Medical Center. However, because of the type of cancer she has, her doctor recommended for her to be treated off-island to receive better and advanced treatment. My family and I have decided for her to travel from Guam to San Diego. Since the day she arrived in San Diego, she spent the first month and a half at Jacob’s Medical Center at UCSD. There, she received the initial chemotherapy treatment. She is now an outpatient, continuously receiving intensive treatment to fight this daunting battle of cancer. This coming late November, she will be going through a bone marrow transplant.

My family and I understand that times are tough for so many, but your support means a whole lot. All donations will go directly to cover medical bills, cost of living in San Diego while undergoing treatment, and any other necessary expenditures along the way.
