Help Amias Secure Safe Housing and Stability
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amias. I’m a 23-year-old queer youth living in Indianapolis, doing my best every day to build a safer, more stable life.
Right now, I’m facing an especially difficult moment. I’m trying to break my current lease so I can move into a safer living situation — but the lease break fee alone is around $5,300. To make things harder, my roommates are moving out and trying to leave me responsible for the full remainder of the lease — something I simply can’t afford.
I’ve been working full-time just to stay afloat, even though my physical health is making it harder and harder to keep up. On top of housing costs, I also need urgent car repairs so I can keep getting to work and managing daily life.
Recently, I had to make one of the most painful decisions I’ve ever faced: rehoming my two senior dogs, aged 14 and 10, because I couldn’t give them the care they deserve in my current situation.
I’m doing everything I can to avoid eviction, knowing how much harder it is to secure housing after that happens. I’m not giving up — I’m just reaching out for a little help getting through this tough chapter.
Every dollar helps, every share matters, and your support means more than I can say. Thank you for reading and for standing with me.
