We are Amherst Repertory Company and we are a student lead company based in Amherst, Massachusetts. Founded by two University of Massachusetts students who wanted more than what was offered, ARC creates pre-professional opportunities that focus on skill building and education. Our education comes in the form of workshops and hand on experience during our seasonal production. This upcoming fall, ARC will be putting up its first musical and we need YOUR help! With arts grants becoming more and more limited, we turn to our community and hope you can help us create a space for theatre makers and artists to develop the expertise to take into their careers and beyond.
Our fundraising has two main focuses; rights and production costs. To acquire the rights to our show, we need an upfront payment of $1600 to the publisher in order to receive rights and materials (scripts, music, etc.). Next, we will need funding to buy costumes, props, set pieces, and whatever else comes up. As college students, we know how to get scrappy, but this ensures the best possible experience for our team, performers, and you!
Last year, in December 2024, ARC premiered with an original adaptation of The Great Gatsby, featuring an incredible cast of student performers who worked tirelessly to bring our show to life. With such a warm reception and huge interest, ARC did its first Spring Showcase in March 2025. This brought new members and friends together, strengthening our community and setting us up for our biggest season yet!
With your help, we hope to give ARC its biggest challenge and greatest reward. Thank you for your time!
