Warrior Angels Rescue Helps Americans #StuckInPeru

Warrior Angels Rescue is supporting evacuation efforts for our fellow Americans #StuckInPeru, including health care workers and medically vulnerable US citizens.
We are coordinating directly with the American and Peruvian governments to assist with the extraction of Americans from the Arequipa, Cusco, and Iquitos areas of Peru. Currently, there are approximately 1,000 Americans in Lima and Cusco alone, and roughly 400 additional Americans in the other surrounding cities. Warrior Angels Rescue (WAR) is currently raising money to extract those “smaller pockets of Americans” and transport them to Lima for subsequent state-sponsored evacuation flights to the U.S.
We have part of the funding and all the logistical capabilities in place on the ground in Peru to extract American doctors, nurses, and other health care workers, who are so desperately needed back in the U.S. as we face the coronavirus crisis here at home. We need them urgently in California and other emerging hotspots in the U.S.
With your support and donations in the past, we were able to evacuate nearly 500 people after Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico, distributed over 80,000 lbs of emergency supplies to the island, and provided 30 medical personnel to assist with relief efforts. Since then, we have assisted with evacuations during the Montecito mudslides in California, the earthquake swarms in Puerto Rico, and actively providing financial assistance to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our guiding philosophy is to cut through the red tape to save lives and immediately provide necessary emergency services and supplies after natural disasters. Every single cent of the funds we receive for this GoFundMe campaign will be used directly and entirely to help Americans get home from Peru, including covering the costs of the flights to evacuate Americans. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we spend $0 on salaries and none of our donations are used on administrative expenses. Every dollar we receive goes directly toward helping people.
