Help Amelia Baker Represent Australia at the Women’s Ranch Bronc Championships World Finals!

Hi, I’m Amelia Baker — a 21-year-old ranch bronc rider from Dysart, Central Queensland, and I’m proud to announce that I’ve qualified to represent Australia at the Women’s Ranch Bronc Championships World Finals in Cheyenne, Wyoming this July!

A bit about myself:

I work full-time on my family’s cattle properties and break in horses on the side, but my true passion kicks in when I climb into the bucking chutes. My bronc riding journey began in 2023 after seeing the first all-women’s rodeo advertised in Normanton. I threw my name into the station buckjump — got bucked off in under a second — and that was it. I was hooked. That one-second ride sparked a fire in me that hasn’t gone out since.

Since then, I’ve put everything I’ve got into this sport. In June 2024, I won my first ranch bronc event — and my first buckle — back where it all started in Normanton. That moment was the reward for months of hard work, busted rides, and relentless determination.

Now, I’m getting ready to take things to the world stage. I’ll be travelling across the USA before the finals, riding in local rodeos to gain experience on American broncs and sharpen my skills. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to grow, compete, and represent Australia with pride — and I’m doing everything I can to make the most of it.

But this journey doesn’t come cheap. Flights, gear, transport, entries, and being on the road all add up. That’s why I’ve started this GoFundMe — to ask for your support.
