Please join me in helping Amelia make it through college! Amelia is the first of her family to graduate from high school, and the first to go to college. After two years at CCRI, she's transferred to URI to get a degree in environmental science to do good things for the world. She works full time, and no one in her family is able to help her out. $7000 would cover next semester's tuition with some left over to pay for car repairs and gas. Amelia has worked so gosh darned hard to get to where she is, doing it all by herself, that I would hate to have to see her dreams come crashing down around her. She's currently living with me (she's the best friend of my kid's girlfriend), and I want to help her out so badly! (I have her permission for this fundraiser).
