Hi, I’m Stuart, a close friend of Ambika. I’m setting up this fundraiser so her friends, family, and wider community can come together to support her.

We wouldn’t ask unless this was truly urgent. Right now, Ambika needs our help.

While visiting Thailand, Ambika’s condition suddenly worsened. She has since been diagnosed with advanced breast cancer and is now receiving treatment at Bangkok Hospital.

She is currently on the other side of the world, far from home, navigating this incredibly difficult moment with remarkable strength and positivity.

She is undergoing a targeted cancer treatment programme. This is the treatment path she has chosen with her doctors, and it offers real hope.

The good news is that the treatment is already showing results. Her doctors have confirmed that the cancer is responding and the tumours are shrinking.

Each infusion is intense and takes a significant toll on her body, leaving her with very little energy. Because of this, she needs regular hospital support between treatments, and her medical team have advised that she is not well enough to travel.

To keep costs down, she is staying in a nearby condo, and the hospital team collects her when she needs care.

She is receiving very personalised and compassionate care, working closely with her oncology doctor. The whole team is supporting her healing journey with real dedication.

But there’s a problem.

Ambika has no insurance. She is not well enough to travel home, and the cost of treatment is far beyond what she can manage alone.

Each treatment costs approximately €20,000, and she needs around four treatments over the next four months.

In an effort to fund this herself, Ambika has already made the incredibly difficult decision to sell her home. Even with that, she still faces a shortfall of around €60,000.

This is where we are hoping to come together and help her.

Right now, she needs her friends, her community, all of us around her, even from afar.

Ambika is a truly special person. She has touched so many lives with her kindness, warmth, and generosity. She has so much more to give, and right now she needs us.
