Hello, everyone. My name is Amber Wyzomirski & I started this GoFundMe to purchase & install a chair lift on the stairs to my mom’s second-story apartment so she can actually leave her home again & regain some independence.
My mom has always been an active and caring person, but her life changed dramatically after a life-threatening car crash in January. Since then, she has faced significant mobility challenges and can only walk very short distances with the help of a walker. Living in a second-story apartment with 14 steps has made it impossible for her to leave her home, leaving her isolated and unable to attend important medical appointments or take care of basic needs like shopping.
A chair lift would be truly life-changing for my mother. With this support, she would be able to safely and comfortably leave her home again, attend her medical appointments, and reconnect with her community and loved ones. One family member she is very close to is currently at the end of their life and receiving care, and she desperately wishes to visit them during this difficult time. The chair lift would make these visits possible and restore a sense of independence and hope.
