Honoring Cindy's Final Wishes

Hi, my name is Amber, and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart. My mom recently passed away in Miami on April 23rd, more than 4 hours away from me, after being sent there to a vent dependent facility that accepted her insurance. She has fought long and hard since her hospitalization in October. She was with her husband Nick at the time and he has been living in his van not leaving her side at all. It’s been incredibly difficult for me not being there with her in her final moments. My son, family, and I are heart broken and even more so because she couldn't meet my newborn, Max. When I showed her him on the phone through video, she was crying so hard.

I’m trying to raise a little over $6000 to cover the cost of her transportation to Indianapolis from Miami to be buried with next to her sister Debbie, her mom Janet, and her niece Macey and give her the dignity and peace she deserves. Unfortunately, all these unexpected expenses are more than I and my family can handle on our own right now as I just had a baby 2 weeks ago and I'm on maternity leave.

My mom meant a lot to me. She had a kind heart, a strong spirit, and always did her best to take care of others!!! Now, I’m just trying to take care of her some more in return.
