Amber Corpuz is my niece and has been struggling with the impact of an acoustic neuroma on her brain. Unbeknownst to her, she has had it since she was 13 years old and symptoms worsened to the point surgery was needed.

12/1 she had a six-hour brain surgery to remove the tumor, thankfully it wasn’t cancerous. After staying a few days in the ICU and acute care at the hospital, she is home, struggling to manage pain and had to struggle to even go up the stairs. Recovery is slow and painful, with setbacks due to pain management. The pain is so bad, she struggles with words, spelling and even her taste is off. She can’t even be alone for the first two weeks due to potential complications.

Recovery will take months and she has no income at this time, the state FMLA hasn’t started and with rent due, a family of four on one income and (2) kiddos for Christmas, paying for food and basic necessities will be hard.

Please help if you can and please think positive thoughts and prayers that she is able to make a full recovery.
