Help〝(´ᴥ`)〞Amber walk happy again… ❤
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and pup loving hoomans,
We need your help…
If you are new here, we would love for you to read Amber's story below and how much donations, along with love and care, continue helping Amber heal and learn to walk happy again.
We are keeping Amber's GFM up and running to make sure we can cover the rest of the surgery (which we paid with credit), while also continue taking care of Amber's sister Belle. Belle suffers from severe allergies that left her with ear infections, hot spots, raw skin, bald spots, and agonizing itching. Her ear infections were so severe that she required ear surgery, four months of two different antibiotics, and bi-weekly ear cleansing and cultures. Belle was cleared a week ago (mid January 2023) from the ear infection but is still on steroids and monthly Cytopoint shots. If your or a loved one's pup is going through a similar situation, please feel free to contact me to ask for advice and what work or didn't. It was a long - scary - and painful journey for her and us. As shared before, 2022 Casa Clark pretty much ran like a doggie hospital or rehabilitation center. 2023!!! I got my eyes on you.
Please help us continue sharing our fundraiser. I also created an Amazon Wish List to provide donors with another avenue to help Amber (or Belle): Amber & Belle Amazon Wish List

Our golden retriever mix, Amber, suffers from hip dysplasia. She was rescued from the floods in Louisiana back in 2016. She was full of energy and an anxious mess but eager to learn and ready to join our family's Circus Act. She loves smooches and pets and, although she is 60 pounds, she wants to believe she is a lap dog. She is a lover!
Amber had TPLO surgery on her left leg early last March (2022). Although we were told that, in most cases, her other knee would need surgery, we were hoping that with careful physical limitations and maintaining her weight, she would be able to beat the odds - at least for a while.
A few days ago, she started limping - we took her to the vet as quickly as possible to ensure she was okay. Unfortunately, after getting x-rays done, the vet noticed that her hip dysplasia had progressed. The vet also stated that the right knee ligaments (ACL equivalent for humans) were partially torn (probably exacerbating the hip dysplasia).
Amber urgently needs surgery on her right leg. We caught it early enough that she has the opportunity to continue living a good doggie life! Fixing Amber's leg will allow her to continue to walk unsupported, go potty, stand up by herself to get pets ❤️, but most importantly, it will prevent Amber from going limp/lame and hopefully slow down degeneration from her hip dysplasia.
I am doing this fundraiser because it is not financially possible for us to cover this surgery at this time (which is when she needs it). We are still paying for her first surgery, and our other dog has also required emergency veterinary care twice this year. I estimated the amount based on Amber's March surgery, associated x-rays, and GFM processing fees (so the fundraiser is just for the surgery, we will figure out the rest).
[11/28/22 Update: Surgery consult estimate was between 5,800 and 6,300. This is our first GFM and processing fees add up quick so we updated the amount to make sure we can fully cover surgery and associated post-op costs.]

It has been challenging to cover both of our dogs’ veterinary care (financially and emotionally), but we want to give Amber the beautiful, loving, pain-free life she deserves. We are doing everything we can from our side, and I am also looking for a second part-time job. We will do our best to get Amber healthy.
Please help us make this surgery possible and get Amber healthy and able to walk again...
