Help Amber Secure a Safe Ride to Recovery
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
On March 4, 2025, my daughter, Amber Kennedy, was in a serious motorcycle accident on her way home from work in Leesburg. An SUV pulled out in front of her, leaving her no time to avoid the collision. She was thrown from her bike, suffering multiple injuries, including a fractured right fibula, a fractured patella, and a severe wound to her right knee that required immediate surgery. She was airlifted to a trauma center, where she has been receiving ongoing treatment, including IV antibiotics and restricted movement to prevent complications, and will have another surgery next week where it will be determined if she will need skin grafts, or not.
Amber is strong and determined, but her road to recovery is going to be long and challenging. Unfortunately, her only means of transportation has been her motorcycle, which is no longer an option given the severity of her injuries. While she is healing, she will need a reliable car to get to medical appointments, therapy, and eventually back to work when she is able.
We are reaching out to our community for help in making this possible. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping Amber secure a safe and dependable vehicle so she doesn’t have to rely on a motorcycle once she is able to get back on her feet. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others who might be able to help.
Amber is a fighter, and with your generosity and support, we can help her regain her independence and move forward from this traumatic experience. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for any support you can give.
With gratitude,
