Help Amber Save Taz: Urgent Medical Fund

Hello,

My name is Sara and I am desperately wanting to raise funds for one of my best friends who is like a sister to me.

Amber is someone who constantly goes out of her way for others, especially animals. She has many rescued cats as well as helping in taking care of a colony of cats by feeding them, paying for the supplies to build an outdoor cat shelter, and being able to trap and neuter/spay some of them from her own pocket. Everything she does should be recognized! A parakeet that was found in her backyard was taken in by her then I took him in when the owners could not be located as well as a kitty from the colony she takes care of.

After everything she has done for the cat colony already, she is now having a crisis with one of her furry friends, Taz. Taz is a rescued cat who is believed to be approximately 4 years old (a distinguished young man!) He was found by Amber and Ed after being hit by a car as a kitten.

Recently he has had an array of health issues and has been constantly in and out of the emergency vet since November. It all started with a fever which was believed to have been caused by two of teeth which ended up being removed. Turns out, that was not the problem. He ended up having feline calicvirus and an ear infection. Due to this, he was put under anesthesia multiple times to complete x-rays, bloodwork, and an ultrasound of his stomach. After this, he stopped eating and has been syring fed by Amber and her fiancee, Ed. Shortly after finding out about the calicvirus, it was found that Taz has ulcers in his mouth so he had to have a feeding tube put in him. After this, he had a cat scan and biopsy.

A tumor on Taz's brain was just found this week after everything he has already been through. Currently he is awaiting more tests this upcoming week and would have to have radiation treatment then brain surgery to remove the tumor.
