Hi, my name is Shane Boyle and I am putting this GoFundMe page together for my daughter Amber Rose Boyle.
Amber is a vibrant, kind-hearted, and fiercely strong 26-year-old woman who has faced a lifetime of challenges with unwavering courage and grace. Her story is one of resilience, pain, hope, love—and now, she needs your help.
In December 2023, Amber was diagnosed with Grade 2 Astrocytoma with HCI 2 mutations, a rare and incurable form of brain cancer. While considered a low-grade tumor, these cancers are unpredictable and can evolve into more aggressive forms over time. Despite her own fears, Amber courageously underwent surgery to remove the original tumor in November 2024, followed by six weeks of radiation. Sadly, in January 2025, her MRI showed that new tumors had already begun to grow.
Amber now suffers from:
• Ongoing seizures
• Left-sided weakness
• Severe tremors in her upper body
• Extreme side effects from medications and cancer treatments
• Frequent migraines and feeling extremely weak and tired
• An uncertain treatment path, made worse by the recent departure of her trusted surgeon from the province
But Amber is not new to hardship. Her fight began long before cancer.
At a young age, Amber impacted with severe mental illness, which impacted every area of her life—including her ability to complete high school, form stable relationships, and pursue the dreams she held so dearly. Depression and anxiety isolated her, but never defeated her. She fought bravely through multiple hospitalizations, determined to find peace and purpose.
In 2017 \ 2018, Amber was in a serious motor vehicle accident that left her with extensive injuries and hospitalized once again. She had to learn to walk all over again and continued to make remarkable gains with her recovery. Most would have been broken by that—but not Amber. She stayed determined, she pushed forward, and she continued to love and support others even as she healed.
Those who know Amber describe her as:
- Incredibly loving
- Deeply creative
- Fiercely loyal to her friends and family
- A beautiful old soul with a kind-hearted determined personality
Despite the many setbacks life has thrown at her, Amber has never stopped fighting for a better future. She’s worked hard to manage her mental health, and she’s dreamed of going back to school, pursuing a career in law enforcement, and building a stable, happy life. She wants a chance to live fully without continued medical limitations standing in her way.

How You Can Help
Watching Amber suffer—again and again—has been devastating. No parent should have to witness their child go through so much pain, let alone wonder if they’ll get the care they need in time.
Amber needs and deserves access to the best care available.
Your support will help cover:
• Obtaining a new viewpoint on where to go from here
• Mental health support during this battle
• Everyday living costs while she cannot work
• Opportunities to fulfill her dreams, however much time she has
Her care team has changed. The wait times are long. We’re not confident in the level of attention she’ll receive and we are determined to make sure Amber gets the care, dignity, and hope she deserves.
We know life is hard for many. But if you are in a position to give—even a small amount—please consider helping Amber and her family. If you can't donate, sharing her story would mean the world.
Every bit of help means the world right now. Together, let’s lift her up and give her the chance to smile again—be strong, proud, and unafraid of what’s next.
From our hearts to yours,
