For years, I’ve been the one to help others—always putting their needs before my own. But this time, I’m the one in need. In January, after living in our home for over seven years, my three children and I were evicted. Since then, it feels like a series of unfortunate events has rained down on us. I lost my main vehicle, had to give up my Chevy Cruz due to unemployment, and have been working multiple jobs just to make ends meet. I even left a job due to wage theft, and while the state helped recover my lost wages, it’s been a constant struggle to find stability.

I’ve been actively seeking employment and am now attending trade school to become a certified medical assistant. I saved up for a security deposit, but two houses fell through after failing inspection, leaving us still without a home. The money I’d saved for a deposit went toward buying a second car so my daughter could get to work and school, but within weeks, my Jeep broke down and I had to use what little I had left to repair our Ford Flex. Just as I thought things were turning around, I was in a car accident that set us back even further. Through all of this, I’ve kept my faith and determination, but the stress has been overwhelming.

Right now, I’m in a custody battle with my ex-husband, who is seeking full custody and child support. Having stable housing is crucial for bringing my children back home where they belong. The funds from this fundraiser will help me secure a deposit for a new place, furnish our home, and buy a reliable car so we can get to work, school, and appointments. They’ll also help with daily essentials as we rebuild. I’ve always been there for others, but now I’m asking for help.
