Hi, my name is Amber. I’m a transgender woman, a mother, and someone who never imagined I would need to ask for help like this but right now, I’m out of options and doing everything I can to survive and rebuild my life.
I am currently living in an emotionally and mentally abusive family situation that has made it impossible for me to live safely or independently. For years, I’ve been subjected to constant harassment and control because I am transgender. Due to my family’s religious beliefs, they believe that being trans makes me an unfit parent, and as a result, my two children have been taken from me. Losing them has been devastating and has only compounded an already painful situation.
My family has also actively prevented me from becoming self-sufficient. I was not allowed to park my car on their property, which made it impossible to maintain employment. Over time, this caused me to lose my job, my vehicle, and nearly everything I owned. I have been effectively trapped in this environment without reliable transportation, support, or safety.
Right now, I am in urgent need of help to cover essential bills specifically my power bill and internet service. Internet access is currently my only connection to the outside world and my only realistic way to apply for jobs, communicate with potential employers, and seek resources. Without approximately $350 before the end of this month, I will be homeless.
Beyond immediate survival, my goal is to raise enough to purchase a reliable used car. Having transportation would allow me to secure stable employment, leave this unsafe area, and begin rebuilding my life including working toward being present and stable for my children again.
Every donation, share, or kind word helps more than I can express. If you’re unable to give financially, sharing this fundraiser still makes a meaningful difference. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for helping me move toward safety, stability, and hope.
Amber
