Help Amber Peterson Fulfill Her Bucket List

My name is Laura Peterson, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my little sister, Amber Peterson. At the age of 12, Amber was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Crohn’s disease, which she has been courageously battling for the last 27 years. In 2011 at 24 years old, Amber beat colon cancer which was a very scary and life-changing journey to fight at such a young age. Following Amber’s fight with colon cancer, she decided to continue her education and became an RN, something I am so proud of her for accomplishing against any and all adversities in her way. Unfortunately though, earlier this year, Amber was diagnosed with liver cancer and at that point, it was clear to Amber and her doctors that she needed to start testing to get on the liver transplant list.

Amber is the strongest person I know and a fighter against all odds, and because of that, we all foresaw her getting on the other side of this diagnosis and kept moving forward. Despite everything going on, including all of her medical appointments, my little sister bought her first house, making me even more proud, if possible. But despite all efforts through radiation and chemotherapy and support from family and friends, the cancer has spread to other organs and her doctors have recently told us that her time is now limited.

While this news is completely heartbreaking, Amber has chosen to focus not on what’s being lost—but on what moments can still be made. With your help, we want to help Amber complete a short but meaningful bucket list filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Some of her wishes include:

    •    Jet skiing

    •    Sky diving

    •   Stay at the Giraffe Manor in Africa

    •    Hawaii’s black sand beaches

    •    Stay in a over water cottage

    •    Visit a moose

These are extravagant dreams— and if you can’t tell, Amber loves the water and wildlife. These are deeply personal moments that would bring joy, peace, and closure to a life lived with such strength and grace.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward:

    •    Travel and accommodations

    •    Medical support for travel needs

    •    Bucket list experiences

    •    Any final arrangements that may be needed with dignity and love.
