Hi, I’m Jess, and I’m organizing this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend Karen and her daughter Amber, two extraordinary women walking through an incredibly difficult season with more courage and faith than you can imagine.

Amber has been through a harrowing medical journey that included months on life support, multiple surgeries, and now long-term healing from the damage caused by Acute Necrotizing Pancreatitis. As a result, Karen has had to significantly reduce her work schedule to become Amber’s full-time caregiver, providing the daily medical, emotional, and practical support that only a mother can give.

But this work has come with a cost.

They are currently without a reliable vehicle, living in a place that no longer supports Amber’s healing, and carrying the weight of medical and dental expenses and basic living needs with no margin left. Every day, Karen pours her heart into rebuilding a life for her daughter, cooking nourishing food, researching healing protocols, advocating for proper care, taking her to doctors and dental visits and praying for the strength to keep going.

Now, it’s our turn to help them.

This GoFundMe is to support three urgent needs:

1. A reliable vehicle so they can safely get to medical appointments, dental appointments, testing, and hopefully one day, some sort of weekend away.

2. A fresh start in a new home where Amber can continue her healing in peace and safety. With no neighbor drama. Their current home is no longer an option.

3. Living, medical and dental expenses so Karen can continue caring for Amber full time without the constant stress of how to make ends meet.

Amber has missed out on necessary medical testing due to no resources. Diagnosis's have been missed and she has had to be admitted for things that would have been found with appropriate testing. Amber also has to have her teeth pulled due to malnutrition in the hospital and teeth destroying medications. She will need to purchase dentures .

They have been waiting for SSDI to be approved for 2 1/2 years and the attorney is now saying it will be 2026 before anything happens in her case . Almost 4 years since onset. With no income or help .
