Hello, my name is Amber, and writing this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I was recently admitted to the hospital with what started as an infection but quickly turned into flesh-eating bacteria. It became life-threatening, and I am incredibly grateful to be here today. Because of this, I am now bed-bound with a very large wound and unable to work for an undetermined amount of time while my body slowly heals. I am not someone who asks for help. Anyone who truly knows me knows how difficult this is for me to admit—but right now, I can’t do this alone. I am a mother and the primary caregiver to my autistic daughter. While my world has completely stopped, life’s responsibilities haven’t. Bills, groceries, and daily necessities continue, and the medical bills have already begun to arrive. The physical pain has been overwhelming, but the fear of how I will provide for my daughter during this time weighs even heavier on my heart.
I want nothing more than to heal, get back on my feet, and return to being the strong, independent person I’ve always tried to be—but right now, I need help to get there. The funds raised will help cover rent, groceries, and medical supplies for myself and my daughter while I recover. Every bit of support will go directly toward helping us get through this difficult time. If you are unable to give, I completely understand—sharing my story, sending prayers, or keeping us in your thoughts means more than you know. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you are able to give. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
