Hi, my name is Patti Gillihan and I am raising funds to help support my future daughter-in-law, Amber Grabe, and her four children while she fights for her life with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. This cancer is so rare that doctors cannot fully identify it. It is a form of sunless, skinless melanoma that has manifested in her right eye socket. The closest related form of cancer is called Mucosal Melanoma, which has a 19% five-year survival rate.

This type of cancer does not respond to chemotherapy or radiation, and surgery has been ruled out for now. Amber is currently undergoing immunotherapy treatment, and the road ahead is uncertain and challenging.

As a result of cancer, Amber is unable to work and must devote all her time and energy to fighting the disease and taking care of her children, who are aged 3, 9, 19, and 23. Her fiancé (my son), Jeff Neal, owns a small business that is struggling because he has to miss work to care for Amber and the kids and help Amber maintain a strict diet to support her treatment. Jeff is also championing her homeopathic supplement regime alongside the immunotherapy treatments.

Although Amber's medical treatment is covered by insurance, homeopathic treatments are not covered and are very expensive and time-consuming. Therefore, we are raising funds to help Amber and her family during this difficult time. The money raised will go towards non-covered medical expenses, childcare during appointments, and to supplement their income so they can pay their living expenses.
