Hello! My name is Amber S. A blessed mother of 3 beautiful daughters, and a small, yet fulfilling world of nature, laughter, and hope...expenses needed to pay for treatment, medication copay and bills while im sidelined from the physical side effects...I debated about wether to treat or just live whats left the best i could...the decision to fight is from within, very personal, and only right if it's made with education, heart, and family balance...its a decision of quality or/quantity. When one becomes obsolete then the other isn't valuable any longer..today fighting is the answer...and thanks to the humanity left in this world its possibly an option for me.
HOWEVER... I'm beginning to crack under the pressure of three going to college, driving, broken hearts, and an absent father...ive been under treatment and trials for a year but my insurance is no longer covering certain things(most things) and wether a N.Y. issue or government issue, it doesn't change the impact and development of my family issues.
That's all the tests my higher power pushes my limits through in order to strengthen my soul for situations as I'm in now.
2 years ago, cancer affected my life, ability, my mental health, and family relationships...
Due to the different treatment programs available in trials and immunotherapy that I've been putting myself through, I've beaten my expiration date twice. However,
I am now in a position to have to decide whether to continue treatment or let my time run out. I suggested that this would be an opportunity to maybe possibly give it one more go, but I am tired, I am in pain, and I am struggling. And these are the things I don't want my children to see. And these are the things that I don't want interrupting the parts of life that I still enjoy.
Crowdsourcing, crowdfunding, relying on the kindness of others and such things has never really crossed my mind. Because while I know there are some good people in the world, slowly but surely my confidence in humanity wanes. However, a very dear friend of mine has suggested that this might be not only an answer to a short-term problem, but maybe some relief for my children as well as they struggle right along with me. Especially due to the financial struggle of treatment and the financial toll it takes on me to be able to spend time with them. And I've decided whether there is a dollar in this account or nothing at all, I tried everything I could and I can go with peace of mind that I did what I should. Thank everybody for even taking the time to read this. I thank my dear friend Kelley for helping me get this up and running... I'm an open book so any questions you may have, I'm happy to share my experience, strength, and hope.
