Help Amber Broussard Avoid Paralysis
Donation protected
My sister, Amber Toups Broussard was recently diagnosed with a genetic condition called Ossification of the Posterior Longitudinal Ligament (OPLL). She needs an URGENT care requiring TWO cervical spine surgeries. One on Dec 10 & the other Dec 12. Every day she does not have these surgeries, she is risking becoming a quadriplegic (paralyzed from the neck down). Post surgery recovery ranges from 2-3 months and she will eventually need another surgery lower on her spine for the same issue. She will also require further testing to determine if this was caused by an autoimmune disease.
As some of you may know, her family is still struggling to get back into their house that was destroyed during Hurricane Ida. All of their money has been put towards restoring their home in hopes that they can eventually return to it.
Amber is a mother of two young boys, Phillip Jr & Jaxton & wife to Phillip Broussard. They are very active in their local Catholic church, Sacred Heart, in Cut Off. You may have seen her & Phil Jr lecture. She is also a religion teacher there for 6th-8th grade & active with Jax’s Bantam football league as the concession stand representative. Her husband, Phil, is on the board for the SL Youth Baseball & volunteers as a coach.
They both spend their free time volunteering & in service to the community & youth sports. Now they need OUR help gathering money for the copay for the surgery & for post surgery rehab while Amber is out of work.
Thank you all in advance & God Bless you!
