Murray started showing signs of fatigue and lethargy about six months ago. We took him to numerous vet visits and found nothing until about three months ago when he was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. We thought we were in the clear. It was a simple two pill regimen for the rest of his days and he would return to my loving bestie again.
Unfortunately the vets missed something and Murray started to rapidly decline. He stopped eating. Started vomiting constantly. And had little to no energy. He was wasting away before our eyes. After over three thousand dollars in diagnostics we found that he has a small mass on his liver and an abnormally enlarged liver. His kidneys are starting to fail from the stress of not eating and dehydration and essentially his body is shutting down in response to different organs malfunctioning.
We have already maxed out our Care Card in diagnostic exams and preparation for biopsy but are ready to do whatever we have to do if we can give our baby another four to five years of healthy living. We are asking for a small amount from our friends to help minimize the increasing debt that we are accruing from tests, tests, and retests. If you ever had to do this with your pet you probably are familiar. We are setting up a plan to take care of the bulk of this ourselves but even just help covering the first two days of his medical care would take months of debt off our shoulders and allow us to better see him into the future.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and anything helps.
