Help Amber Fight Stage IV Cancer While Supporting Her Children

Story:
Hi, my name is Amber Tullier. I'm a proud mother of eight and a full-time college student at WVNCC, working toward my degree in Substance Abuse Intervention. I’ve always believed in helping others—but right now, I’m the one who needs help.

I was recently diagnosed with stage IV metastatic rectal cancer, which has spread to my lungs and lymph nodes. This diagnosis has changed everything. My treatment journey is just beginning, and it will require strength, time, and resources that I’m struggling to manage alone.

While I continue to do my best to attend school, care for my children, and maintain some sense of normalcy, I’m no longer able to work. I’m facing mounting medical appointments, procedures, and travel—on top of rent, utilities, food, and basic living expenses for my children.

Several of my children are still at home with me, one of my sons is currently serving in the United States Air Force, stationed in Japan, and two of my children are also in college, pursuing their own educational goals. I’m incredibly proud of them all.

I originally moved to the Ohio Valley for a Walmart management position, which I no longer have. While I don’t have close family in the area, I’m deeply grateful for the parents of my children’s friends and others in the community who have offered support and kindness during this time. My two youngest children were born and raised here, and I want to give them as much stability as possible during this difficult time. Relocating would be a last resort—I want nothing more than to stay where my children feel secure and supported.

On top of my own health challenges, I also care for one of my daughters, Dreana, who has epilepsy. Managing her condition—including administering emergency medication when needed—is a full-time responsibility in itself. I do everything I can to make sure she feels safe, loved, and cared for.

That’s why I’m asking for your help.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will go toward:

Rent and utility bills

Groceries and basic needs for my children

Transportation to and from cancer treatments

Out-of-pocket medical expenses

Support while I continue my education and focus on healing

Even if you can’t donate, please share my story—and most importantly, please keep me and my children in your prayers. We need all the love, strength, and encouragement we can get right now.

I believe in the power of kindness and community. Your support will help ease the burden on me and my children during this incredibly difficult time—and allow me to focus on what matters most: fighting this disease and being there for my family.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
