Hi, I’m Ramin, a father and husband from Brooklyn, NY, reaching out during an incredibly tough time. On June 2, 2025, my wife Amber was admitted to the ER following a series of severe strokes due to a rare condition called Reversible Cerebral Vasoconstriction Syndrome (RCVS), triggered by long-term health challenges, leaving her in critical condition for an entire month. This sudden medical crisis has left her with severe and debilitating brain damage, including profound aphasia and apraxia, making it challenging for her to speak or care for herself.

Amber is now at the beginning of a long and uncertain road to recovery that will require months if not years of intensive, specialized care. She is a fighter, but she cannot do this alone.

I’ve been managing her care, supporting our 11-year-old son Nico, and handling mounting medical bills. My family medical leave has ended, cutting my income. We’re facing hospital costs, potential long-term care expenses, and the need to relocate to a safer, more supportive home. Our apartment isn’t suitable, and I’m exploring options like selling or subletting, but these decisions are on hold without legal guardianship, which is still pending.
