On May 18 at around 3 am, my bestfriend Amaya Barksdale experienced something unimaginable that no one should have to go through. On her way to a friends house her car flipped over after hitting a curb and got totaled on 59. All alone her fight or flight instincts kicked in and she thankfully managed to exit out of her car and call for help. I don’t want to go too into details because it is traumatizing enough for her to experience this but we are truly blessed that she is with us and will walk forward from this. She is an awesome sister, amazing daughter, outstanding aunt to her niece and one of the kindest and most caring friends i’ve ever had and it breaks my heart that she had to experience this. Being one of her co workers as well, I always notice how caring she is everyday to the children and she always goes above and beyond for them. She always shows up with a smile on her face, gives lots of care to the girls and boys and she always has such kind energy to the families as well. She has truly shown she is sunshine in human form at work and outside of work.
Now we all know how high automobile accident expenses can be and Amaya is now out of a car, we have put up support to help Amaya and her family get back up on their feet and not have to worry about any expenses as their focus will be on caring for her mentally, emotionally and physically. Any help is appreciated and please do send lots of kind words and prayers for the Barksdale family. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this.
