Hi everyone, this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. My daughter, who I will call Amaya for privacy, went from having a simple headache to suddenly becoming critically ill. Within days, her condition worsened, and she is now in the hospital fighting through a serious brain injury caused by infection and inflammation. Since March 17th, I have not left her side. I’ve been here every day, praying over her, talking to her, and holding on to hope as she fights to heal. While being here with her, I lost my job due to being away unexpectedly. I didn’t plan for any of this, and now everything is hitting at once. Right now, I’m facing the loss of my only income, rent and household bills coming up, food, gas, and daily expenses while staying at the hospital, and the emotional pain of watching my child go through this. I’m trying to stay strong, but I can’t do this alone. I am asking for help so I can continue to be here for my daughter without worrying about losing everything outside of this hospital.
