Hey Family,
After the longest year ever, I’m finally ready to start what COVID took away for a year- college! I’m excited to return to my education and realize my goals and dreams of working with children and continuing with music! My dream is to create music and pursue an education in early childhood learning as well as music therapy for young children. I have been blessed to have an amazing education in music and now I want to use all that I have learned in the service of less fortunate kids.
A hard reality hit us this winter. We find ourselves in that place where we don’t qualify for any aid, yet we are not wealthy enough to afford college outright. I've worked really hard throughout high school just to able to apply to the colleges I dreamed of. I believe college is going to open the door to a world of opportunities for me and money shouldn't get in the way of that, but that’s the reality we’re living in. I come from a hardworking family that has worked and sacrificed for everything they have given me, but that doesn't mean they still don't need help. I plan to attend Montclair State University, which is my state school, but the costs of tuition, housing, textbooks, and basic necessities are overwhelming. We’ve saved some; I’m working and expect to borrow, but it still doesn’t come close to what I’ll need to graduate college without a staggering debt load- I need to be able to eat when I get out of college ya’ll!!
This is a humbling thing for me to do, but I am asking for your help. I started this Gofundme after watching what a Gofundme could do for others. If you are able, I’d appreciate anything you can give to help my dreams come true. It doesn't matter how much or how little; anything helps. If you cannot give anything, I appreciate your prayers for God’s provision.
Shout out to all of you who have loved me and supported me in every little way!
