My name is Amari, and I’m reaching out for help after being evicted from my home. Right now, I’m living in my car with my emotional support dog, Bronx. She’s been by my side through some of the hardest times, and I’m doing everything I can to keep us both safe and together. The eviction happened while I was trying to catch up on rent, but I fell behind and the marshals posted a no trespassing notice. All of my money had gone toward trying to pay what I owed, but it wasn’t enough to stop us from losing our place.

Having to live in my car will be tough for both me and Bronx. There’s not enough space for her to be comfortable, and it will be hard to find a safe place to park at night. Taking care of basic needs has become a daily challenge. Bronx means everything to me—she’s my emotional support and my family. I’m asking for help to cover a few weeks at a motel or a room for rent so we can have a safe place to stay while I work on getting back on my feet. Any support will go directly toward securing temporary housing and making sure Bronx and I have what we need to get through this difficult time.
