After 8 years on campus, Amari has been the iconic Portland State University dog that brings joy to many people, especially his owner, Ray.

Now, Amari is facing a new challenge. Specifically, he was diagnosed with cancer on October 3rd. This has been heartbreaking for Ray and many other individuals who see and greet Amari daily. While Ray has access to some funds to put towards this procedure, it isn't nearly enough to cover the cost of Amari's treatment. For that reason, we are reaching out to our community and the world in hopes of making Amari healthy again. This is very important to Ray because Amari is his best friend and emotional support Animal.

Our goal is set to $9000 since the range for his procedure is generally on the higher end of $4000-$8000. With $9000, Ray can confidently proceed with getting Amari the medical care he needs and deserves. The funds received from this fundraiser will go towards any necessary scans, procedures, and medications required for Amari to get better.
