I FINALLY HAVE AN ID! I'll have my own bank account in the next 2 weeks!

I'm aiming to have my driver's license at the start of August and would like to have the down-payment by late August!

I've spent my entire life depending on my mom. 8 years ago I became disabled and everything in my life changed.

I had to relearn to eat and walk. My mom and I both got covid in February, I nearly lost my life. I have had to relearn how to live again. On top of that the left side of my body is fairly dead/ I cannot turn my head left or right without my spine going numb and hurting. my left hand no longer grabs things properly.

A car will guarantee I am at physical therapy weekly, getting scans I need, and getting to doctors appointments and long haul covid appointments

I'm almost 25 now and have been fundraising for a year.

I was hit hard multiple times in the last year from covid to losing function of a quarter of my body. I'm doing everything to save money while also relying on the kindness and understanding of others.

I've changed the goal a few times, from 10k to 18k to now 7k. I don't want to ask for more than I need! 7k after taxes will cover a down-payment, insurance for 2 months, car payments for 2 months, gas, and the trip to get my future car!

2 months gives me time to find a second job while doordashing and ubering!

I could buy an old 100k mile car for about 5k but they lack the disability friendly items I need and the safety features I need for myself and service dog. A down-payment on a car let's me get a newer car with a backup camera since I don't have full range of motion in my neck. this is the most important feature for me. The car I'm saving for has under 40k miles as well and is a 2020 with great gas mileage.
