Help Amany and Her Family Rebuild Their Lives in Gaza

To anyone whose heart still beats with mercy,
My name is Amany. I’m a 24-year-old girl from Gaza. I’m not searching for eloquent words—war has stripped us of all that is beautiful, leaving us clinging to one another as if holding onto the last thread of life.
We are a family of seven.
Before the war, we were just an ordinary family—simple, warm, and close.
We lived under one roof, in a small home filled with love, laughter, the smell of fresh meals, dinner conversations, children’s giggles, and small dreams we watered each day with hope.
We sometimes argued, like all families do, but we always came back to each other. We celebrated together, cried together, and dreamed together of a better tomorrow.
Then came October 7th… and everything collapsed.
Our home turned to rubble. Safety disappeared. We began sleeping to the sound of bombs, waking up to news of destruction.
Electricity was cut, the internet disappeared—and so did hope.
We were displaced again and again, moving from one place to another, carrying only the remnants of our souls and what our trembling hands could hold.
We lost everything: our home, our memories, even the old family photos that reminded us we once lived a normal life.
And now… we are trapped in a slow, silent famine.
No food, no medicine, nothing.
And when something does appear in the markets, the prices are unimaginable—even for those with money. So how can we, who have lost everything, survive?
We eat whatever we can find. And some days… there is nothing. Spoiled flour, contaminated water, and a heavy silence. Not because we are strong—but because we are too exhausted to cry.
I am not writing this message to ask for the impossible.
I am writing because we are human... and we just need enough to live, to protect the ones we love, to keep a flicker of life within us.
Please… help us. I beg you.
Any support, any word, any gesture… could save lives. Could remind us that the world hasn’t forgotten us. That there are still hearts alive with compassion.
From my heart… from under the rubble, from within the hunger and fear… I send you these words.
Hoping they reach someone—anyone—whose heart still beats with humanity.
