On what should’ve been a regular day of laughter and summer sun, our lives changed forever.

Our sweet, vibrant, 12-year-old daughter Amani suffered a tragic drowning accident while swimming in a pool. In a matter of minutes, joy turned into panic. Our baby girl was pulled from the water unresponsive. She had no heartbeat. But Amani is a fighter.

First responders were able to revive her, and she was rushed to the hospital where she has remained under intense medical care ever since. The road ahead is long, uncertain, and filled with both physical and emotional challenges. But one thing is certain: Amani is still here. She is fighting every single day to recover, to come back to the little sister, daughter, niece, and friend we all know and love.

We’re calling on our community, our village, YOU to help us shoulder this heavy load. The medical costs for emergency care, extended hospital stays, specialist treatments, therapies, and ongoing aftercare are more than our family can handle alone. On top of that, we’re struggling to keep up with regular bills and missed work as we stay by Amani’s side, 24/7.
