A Fundraiser for Specialist Prosthetics and Vital Physiotherapy

Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my wonderful friend Amanda (Manda), who is facing an incredibly tough journey right now. Manda is a truly remarkable person – always full of fun, joy, and positivity, even in the face of adversity. She’s the type of person who brightens up any room with her infectious laughter and vibrant energy. She’s the biggest fan of George Michael, and if you know her, you know how much her spirit shines no matter what life throws at her.

But right now, life has thrown Manda a really difficult challenge. Due to complications from diabetes, Manda has recently had to undergo a double amputation just below her knees. To make matters more difficult, she is also waiting for a kidney transplant, which adds an additional layer of strain and uncertainty.

Despite all of this, Manda has stayed as positive and strong as ever. She refuses to let these circumstances define her, but we all know that even the strongest among us need help sometimes.

Manda’s prosthetics, provided by the NHS, are functional but not great – they don’t offer the mobility or comfort she truly needs to live her life the way she deserves. The prosthetics she requires to regain her independence and freedom are specialist ones that are beyond the reach of her current resources. This is where we can all make a difference.

How You Can Help:

We’ve set up this GoFundMe to raise funds for Amanda’s specialist prosthetics. The funds will help cover the cost of these advanced prosthetics, which will allow Manda to walk again and regain a significant amount of independence.

However, we understand that medical costs can be a huge burden, so if we can’t raise enough for the prosthetics right away, we’d love to support Manda with something else essential to her recovery – dedicated physiotherapy, which will help her rebuild strength, mobility, and confidence during this incredibly challenging time.

Amanda has been handed a tough deal, but she absolutely doesn’t deserve it. We want to help her regain the mobility and quality of life she deserves, whether that’s through getting her the right prosthetics or supporting her with vital physiotherapy to aid in her recovery.
