Ayúdanos a dar este gran paso hacia el sueño de Amanda

Hola queridos amigos y familiares

Les escribe Rebeca (y Amanda), para compartir algo muy personal y emocionante, y para pedir su apoyo en hacer realidad un sueño.

Hace un par de semanas, Amanda recibió una gran noticia: fue aceptada en un programa magnet en una escuela de Artes escénicas en Sarasota, Florida. Algo con lo que ha soñado desde hace tiempo. Esta oportunidad es mucho más que una escuela. Es un lugar donde podrá ser vista, acompañada, y desafiada a crecer como la persona creativa, amable y brillante que es.

Nos estamos preparando para mudarnos de regreso a Estados Unidos este julio, para que Amanda pueda comenzar esta nueva etapa.

Pero nos enfrentamos a varios retos financieros.

Por nuestra situación actual, no pudimos ahorrar como hubiéramos querido. Entre vuelos, hospedaje temporal, preparación para la escuela, gastos de viaje (¡con nuestros dos gatitos!) y el proceso de establecerse de nuevo en EE.UU., esta mudanza es más grande de lo que podemos manejar solas.

Por eso hoy pedimos ayuda.

Si te nace apoyarnos, aunque sea con un granito de arena, estarás ayudando a darle a Amanda un nuevo comienzo sólido en una escuela donde de verdad podrá florecer. Y si no puedes donar pero quieres compartir esta campaña o enviarnos buena energía, eso también lo valoramos muchísimo.

Estaremos actualizando esta página conforme avancemos, y cuando Amanda comience la escuela, le encantará compartir su experiencia con quienes hicieron esto posible.

Hi friends and family

This is Rebeca and Amanda, writing to share something personal and exciting, and to ask for your help in making a dream come true.

A couple weeks ago, Amanda received amazing news: she was accepted into a magnet school program in Sarasota, Florida. Something she’s been dreaming about for a long time. This opportunity is more than just a school. It’s a chance for her to be in a place where she’ll be seen, supported, and challenged to grow as the creative, kind, and brilliant young person she is.

We’re preparing to move back to the U.S. this July so she can start this new chapter, but we’ve run into some big financial challenges. Because of our current situation, we weren’t able to save up the way we’d hoped. Between flights, temporary housing, school prep, travel costs (with our two cats!), and settling back into life in the U.S., the move is bigger than we can manage alone.

That’s why we’re reaching out.

If you feel moved to contribute, no matter how small, you’ll be helping give Amanda a solid start at a school where she can truly thrive. And if you can’t donate but want to support us by sharing this, or sending a kind message, we welcome that too.
